Attractions

Jomtien has many local attractions and leisure activities, while you're here you should check out what is on offer. Here are some of the attractions in and around Jomtien.

Scuba Diving

There are many scuba diving schools in the area run by PADI and NAUI certified instructors. To go scuba diving in the sea off of Jomtien or Pattaya is not costly and you can even do a PADI course yourself through one of these diving schools.

Nong Nooch

Nong Nooch is a large tropical garden just a short ride from Jomtien. In fact it is considered the biggest and most beautiful botanical garden in Southeast Asia. It is also renowned for it's Elehpant and Thai Cultural Shows. Definately worth a visit as it is a great day out for all ages.

Buddha Temples

There are many Buddhist temples in the area and many are open t the public. They will leave you in awe of their huge Buddha images and gold decorated buildings. There is a large temple on the Jomtien hill called Wat Phra Yai which also has a great view of Jomtien and the beach.

Flight of the Gibbon

Flight of the Gibbon is a rain forest adventure. Which is quite unique and one of Thailand's most exciting attractions. You can use a zip-line to fly through the rain forest seeing all kinds of monkeys and other wildlife while having the thrill of your life!

Golfing

Pattaya and the surrounding province is a golfers' paradise. For a minimal cost you can play on some of the most breath taking golf courses in the world. There is about 40 locally and some were designed by professional golfers' such as Jack Nicklaus, Seve Ballestreos, Greg Norman and Nick Faldo. You can hire a caddy and cart and tackle 18 holes at your leisure.

Elephant Village

There are many interesting animal sancturies and zoos in Thailand but one of the most popular local ones is the Elephant Village located near Jomtien. See the Elephants perform all sorts of clever tricks in their shows as well as see how they live and how they are trained.

Night life

Pattaya and Jomtien have some great night spots. Perhaps after a day of sight seeing you fancy going out on the town then you can head in to Pattaya and check out some of it's many bars, clubs and shows. Th infamous Walking Street is very popular amongst tourists.
